PVC Pipework Systems

Information

PVC-U (unplasticised polyvinyl chloride) is one of the most popular thermoplastic materials used for pressure pipework installations.

Light in weight, PVC-U has excellent resistance to chemicals and abrasion, is tasteless and odourless making it ideal for use with potable water systems and most food products. Its extremely smooth bore gives excellent flow characteristics without sediment or deposit.

PVC-U pipework can be used with temperatures ranging from 0°C to 60°C but this varies depending on the class of pipe.

PVC Fittings (plain ended)

A variety of PVC-U fittings are available including Sockets, 90 degree Elbows, 45 degree Elbows, 90 degree Short Radius (S/R) Bends, Tees, 45 degree Tees/Y pieces, Caps, Unions, Reducing Bushes, Reducing Sockets, Stub Flanges, Full Face Flanges, Blank Flanges, inch/metric Adaptor Sockets and inch/metric Adaptor Unions.

PVC Fittings (threaded)

A variety of PVC-U Threaded fittings are available including Sockets, 90 degree Elbows, 45 degree Elbows, Tees, Caps, Barrel Nipples, Hexagon Nipples, Reducing Nipples, Reducing Pieces male/female, Reducing Pieces female/male, Reducing Sockets, Plugs, Unions and Reducing Bushes.
